The Bridgeport and Leyton track and field teams posted impressive results at the Bayard C-D Invitational held Saturday in Bayard.
For the second straight meet, the Bridgeport girls claimed the team title by finishing with a winning score of 87. Lingle-Ft. Laramie was second with 72 and Hemingford was third with 71.5.
The Bulldog girls were led by Taylor Bright, who won two individual events and ran a leg on a winning relay. Bright blazed to a top finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.21 seconds. She also crossed the finish line first in the 200 in a winning time of 27.26. Bright then ran the anchor leg on the Bulldogs’ 4x100 relay that placed first with a clocking of 53.74. She was joined on the victorious relay by Ella Schluterbusch, Cloie Malloy, and Olivia Brown.
