The Leyton track and field teams combined for 11 firstplace finishes at the Minuteman Activities Conference meet held Saturday in Bayard. As a team, the Warrior girls placed third and the boys finished sixth.
Leading the charge with three individual conference titles was Zaili Benish. The senior ran to a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1 minute, 2.18 seconds. She also swept the hurdles events. Benish won the 100 hurdles in 17.02 seconds and captured the 300 hurdles in 49.35.
Finishing as a double individual- event winner was Shawnee Gamble. She won the 100 in a time of 12.86 seconds and won the 200 in 26.87.
