Bridgeport Schools hosted the second annual Bridgeport Robotics Invite on April 26th, allowing novice teams that were not quite ready to compete at the state level for First LEGO League a chance to show off their skills. The invite hosted eight teams from across the Panhandle. Teams competed in Table Play (where the LEGO robots complete a variety of missions to earn points), a Robot Presentation (a five-minute speech about how they designed and coded their robots), and, new this year, Core Values.
Competing for Bridgeport in this tournament were: Kool-Aid: Griff Norma, Collin Sacco, and Kayden Fischer; BKD: Braxtyn Stoltenberg, Jeremiah Caberrus, Claycen Dean, and Connor Roach; and Fred Bots: Hunter Post, Chloe Lowery, and Owen Jacoby. Teams are coached by Melissa Hedin and Sarah Paisley.
Table Play is the completion of various challenges, all with different point values.
