Bridgeport choirs shine at Carnegie Hall debut

On May 11, the Bridgeport Choirs made their triumphant Carnegie Hall debut in NewYork City, an unforgettable milestone for the young singers.The group was invited to perform by Dr. John Petzet, Director of Choral Activities for the University of Nebraska-Kearney, who conducted the event.The students spent the year diligently fundraising and preparing to join the University of Nebraska- Kearney choir, alongside singers from the University of Central Arkansas, Maywood, and Arapaho, in a stunning performance of Steve Dobrogosz’s Mass. For many students, the experience was transformative.

Elizabeth Higgins shared, “Carnegie Hall was amazing to sing in, and I felt surrounded by talent on stage.
