At their regular meeting on Tuesday, the Morrill County commissioners decided to start holding property assessment protest hearings on June 24 and 25.
The Morrill County commissioners approved a $40,000 commitment from the county tourism fund for a lighting project at Courthouse and Jail Rocks, contingent on the committee obtaining the remaining funds needed for the project from other sources. They are pursuing grant funds and local donations.
Samantha Stoltenberg with Plummer Insurance discussed what options the county might want related to health insurance quotes.The county has historically joined with the hospital in getting quotes, but there have been issues with the current health plan administrator, Regional Care, Inc..The commissioners requested a separate quote for the county with RCI.They also want a quote together with the hospital using whichever administrator the hospital wants to consider.
