Juneteenth added to the list of holidays observed by the city
The Bridgeport City Council convened a public hearing to gather input on the Planning Commission’s recommendations to designate portions of the northwest quadrant of the city as blighted to upgrade the electrical system infrastructure. Jaime Galvan, representing the Planning Commission, presented the Blight Study prepared by the Panhandle Area Development District (PADD).
The presentation drew no significant questions from attendees, and the hearing was closed.The council then adopted Resolution 2025-09, aligning with the Nebraska Community Development Act to formalize the blight and substandard study for the specified area.
