Gordon/Rushville came to town for what turned out to be a very suspenseful, entertaining, juniors game. The Rough Riders jumped out to an early 1-0 lead before the Bombers could crack through in the third inning.
Andrew Compton singled to start the rally, and back to back hit-by-pitches, put Ruben Dominguez and Kaden Shultz on base. Jayden Harris-Miller walked to score a run and then created some havoc on the base paths which led to a few G/R miscues. By the time the dust had settled, Bridgeport had jumped out to a 4-1 lead.
The Rough Riders swung the bats well and strung together four hits in the top of the fifth inning to reclaim the lead 7-4.With the time limit for the game approaching, the Bombers would have one final at-bat to try and draw even.
