Bombers Prep wins tournament in final at-bat
Baseball has a way of bringing people together. Whether the multitude of fans who, some without a direct connection to the team, traveled to watch the game, or the dugout full of players who came from the communities of Leyton, Garden County, and Bridgeport, joining forces to form one team. Once a Bomber, always a Bomber.
Carrying a 9-2 record and number one seed into the tournament, the Bombers Prep team had some unfinished business to tend to, and a target on their back.Throwing strikes, fielding the ball, and timely hitting had been the mantra for the year, and the young Bombers executed the plan nicely in their first game.
