Saturday July 19 brought a new form of excitement to the Morrill County Fairgrounds.

The Morrill County Building Champions foundation is working towards a goal of $2.5 million dollars that will be used to update the buildings and grounds of the Morrill County Fair and the exhibit hall is first on the list. Built in the 1950s, the old building served many great years for kids across Morrill County; but with no heat, making the building usable for only about 6 months of the year, and a kitchen not up to code, it is time for an upgrade.

The new building will feature a kitchen, men’s and women’s locker rooms, event space, and the Morrill County Extension office, and it can be used for continuing education, events, trade shows, and so much more.
