In last week’s issue, we presented information regarding the testimony of Morrill County Assessor Rose Nelson that raised concerns in the lawsuit between McKays and F2 Land.
Several Morrill County citizens have complained to the News-Blade echoing the statements by Ms. Nelson in her letter to the editor (see on page 2) that information contained in an unsigned “draft” memorandum circulating on social media from someone in the Nebraska Property Assessment Division should be considered unofficial and not related to any disciplinary finding. Last week’s article acknowledged that there were no assessment practice issues warranting action under Neb.
