A 24-point surge to end the game lifted Bridgeport to a thrilling 44-28 win over visiting North Platte St. Patrick’s in the season opener last Friday night in Bridgeport.
It marked the Bulldogs’ first victory over the Irish in 15 meetings dating back to 2012.
Trailing 28-20 at the start of the fourth quarter, Bridgeport found the end zone three times in the final 12 minutes to rally past an Irish team that was ranked No. 6 in Class D-1 by the Omaha World-Herald.
