Bulldogs fall to Tigers in top-10 ranked matchup

In a matchup of Class D-1 top-10 ranked football teams, No. 9 Bridgeport dropped a 44-16 setback to No. 2 Dundy County-Stratton last Friday night. It marked the first loss of the season for the 1-1 Bulldogs.

Dundy County-Stratton started fast and moved out to a 28-8 lead at halftime. The Tigers, led by running back Ethan Latta, scored on their first offensive play from scrimmage when Latta raced 65 yards for a touchdown. He ended up rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

The Tigers finished the contest with 356 yards of offense. Quarterback Dante Horner completed 10 of 13 passes for 186 yards as the Tigers improved to 2-0 on the season.
