LINCOLN—The Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard is honored to announce that Tuesday, September 16, 2025, has been officially proclaimed Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard Day across the state of Nebraska.
The proclamation will be signed by Governor Jim Pillen at the Nebraska State Capitol on September 16, 2025. Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard members from across the state will travel to Lincoln to attend this historic occasion, which recognizes the Honor Guard’s mission and the legacy of service, compassion, and dedication carried forward by nurses.
This statewide recognition marks a significant milestone, honoring both the nursing profession and the Honor Guard’s role in paying tribute to nurses. Currently, there are sixteen nurses representing the Panhandle on the NNHG.
