Ron Varner ran to a fourthplace finish at the Bridgeport cross country team’s home meet held last week.Varner clocked a time of 18 minutes, 4 seconds to continue his streak of high finishes this season.
Finishing next in line for the Bulldogs boys was Cooper Abbott. The freshman ran a time of 21:41 to place 34th. Drake Devrous followed in 53rd in 24:05 and Bentley Ellis finished 66th in a time of 29:16.
In the girls division, Lucy Trettor paced the Bulldogs individually. She ran to a 25th-place finish with a time of 26:47. Janessa Lussetto finished 30th in a time of 29:13.
