The Bridgeport volleyball team captured a pair of wins over Hemingford and Morrill in a triangular hosted by Hemingford last week.
Bridgeport started off with a 25-19, 28-26 sweep of the Bobcats. Kendal Deaver paced the Bulldogs in hitting with eight kills. Jailyn Nichols and Fallon Deblois each put down seven kills. Nichols and Kayci Sorenson both served seven points from the service line. Sorenson fired a pair of aces. Claire Eckhardt added six service points. Avery Schneider handed out 18 set assists. Ella Schluterbusch led the Bulldogs defensively with 11 digs. Deaver, Sorenson and Schneider each had seven digs. Eckhardt added five digs.
Against Morrill, the Bulldogs claimed a 25-21, 22-25, 25-17 victory. Schluterbusch put together a double-double of 10 points and 24 digs. Deaver and Deblois both hammered nine kills each to lead the team in hitting. Nichols added six kills. Eckhardt served nine points. Schluterbusch and Nichols both led the way with three aces each. Nichols had eight points. Schneider dished out 25 assists. Deaver totaled 10 digs defensively. Eckhardt added eight digs and Schneider had seven.
