Bridgeport Board of Education approves initiatives at October meeting

Special meeting to approve payroll set for October 17 at noon

The Bridgeport Board of Education convened its regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the Bridgeport High School library, where members unanimously approved several administrative items and heard updates on innovative student programs and attendance efforts.

The meeting kicked off with the consent agenda, which included the approval of meeting minutes, financial reports, and bills. These items passed with a 6-0 vote. However, payroll approval hit a snag due to a technical glitch, prompting the board to schedule a special meeting for Friday, October 17, at 12:00 p.m. to address it.
