LINCOLN—The Nebraska School Activities Association is proud to recognize Ms. Natasha Haupt of Leyton Public Schools as this week’s Above and Beyond Award nominee. A dynamic educator, coach, and parent, Natasha exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond—not only for her students and athletes but for her entire community.
In just three short years at Leyton, Natasha has created a lasting impact that reaches far beyond wins and losses. As head volleyball coach, she led the Lady Warriors to a historic 35-1 season and a State Runner-Up title—a first in school history. But Natasha’s influence doesn’t stop on the court. She’s a champion of innovation and opportunity, spearheading new programs and initiatives that give students real-world experience and lifelong skills.
Under her leadership, the school’s Entrepreneurship class launched The Warrior Coffee Station, which serves the community three days a week and operates at school events. The yearbook program was reimagined, now featuring interactive elements with QR codes linking to student and team videos. When students expressed interest in bringing back cheerleading, Natasha made it happen. She also helped lead a shift from a traditional trip to NewYork City to an immersive travel experience in Costa Rica—one that now includes members of the broader community.
