Bulldogs make history with another playoff win

For the first time in school history, the Bridgeport football team won back-to-back state-playoff games after the Bulldogs rallied to beat Wausa/ Osmond 38-18 in a Class D-1 second-round contest last Friday in Bridgeport.

The victory sends the 9-1 Bulldogs into the quarterfinal round, where they will face Sandy Creek on Friday at 4 p.m. in Fairfield. Sandy Creek also enters the contest with a 9-1 record after beating Wisner- Pilger 51-6 in the second round. Both the Bulldogs and Cougars have won eight straight games.

Bridgeport found itself in an early hole against the Vikings of Wausa/Osmond.
