The Bridgeport High School football team’s history- making season came to an end following a 45-6 loss to Sandy Creek in the quarterfinals of the Class D-1 state playoffs on Friday in Fairfield.
Bridgeport wrapped up the season with a 9-2 record. The loss snapped the Bulldogs’ eight-game winning streak. Bridgeport advanced into the quarterfinal round after winning back-to-back playoff games for the first time in school history.
With the win, Sandy Creek improved to 10-1 and will host Plainview in the semifinals.
