Four receive Quilts of Valor in Broadwater

Four veterans received Quilts of Valor on Sunday at the Broadwater Village office. David Henson served in the U.S. Navy from 19681972 and rose to the rank of E-4. he was attached to the USMC as a Dental Technician during the Vietnam War and his duty stations included Yuma Arizona. His quilt was pieced and bound by Judy Blundell of Hay Springs and quilted by Suzanne Walker of Hemingford.

Diane Sherman served in the U.S. Army from 19761980 and advanced to the rank of E-4. She served as a Morse Code Interpreter (D5H) and her dity stations included the SS Barracks in Berlin, Germany. Her quilt was made by Donna McKay of Hay Springs.

Charles Mcbride served in the U.S. Army from 19651967 and attained the rank of E-4. he was stationed in Vietnam working on the docks in customs. his quilt was made by Jody Meer of Lakeside.
