Faith, hope, and love
“ Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Faith saves, because faith receives the promises of Jesus which He gives in His Word. Most fundamentally, Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. He has taken away the sin of the world (John 1:29; 1 John 2:2; Romans 3:25).We don’t see this, but Jesus promises it. Faith receives it. All who believe in Him, that He has saved them from sin, death, and hell, shall not perish, but shall receive what their faith grasps: eternal life with Jesus (John 3:16; Mark 16:16).
Faith must save, because Jesus must save.Without Jesus, you cannot be saved.Without faith, you can’t receive Jesus.
