Determination and Dedication: Boys Wrestling

“Winning or losing matches comes down to who has been the most disciplined in their preparation, technique, and their ability to overcome discomfort in both their mind and body,” Coach Wells explains. Because wrestling is such a high intensity sport, it’s crucial for winning teams to have immense amounts of discipline.

The Bulldogs are no exception. In their preseason meeting, the main focus was discipline and maintenance of eligibility, weight, communication, and health. These goals can be transferred throughout the season by going undefeated in duals, winning both conferences, being district champs, and qualifying as many athletes as possible for the state tournament.
