Bridgeport Public Schools celebrates ‘great’ rating, national honor at December board meeting

BRIDGEPORT –The Bridgeport Board of Education convened for its regular monthly meeting Monday evening in the high school library, with all members present and a series of positive updates highlighting student achievement, academic growth, and district operations.

Superintendent Schlothauer delivered the annual financial literacy report, noting that 15 Bridgeport High School students are currently enrolled in the personal finance course this semester. For the full 2024-2025 school year, 38 students completed the class.

In academic recognition, Principal of Instruction Mrs. Reynolds shared the district’s latest AQuESTT classification from the Nebraska Department of Education. Bridgeport Public Schools earned an overall designation of “Great,” with all three school buildings—elementary, middle, and high school—also rated “Great” and performing just below the threshold for the state’s highest “Excellent” category.
