Jesse D. Russell was sentenced in Morrill County District Court December 22 on two counts of Attempt of a Class 3 or 3A Felony.
Russell received the maximum sentence of two years imprisonment for each count, to be served concurrently for a total of four years. The sentences include 12 months of post-release supervision and lifetime parole – community supervision. As part of the plea agreement, he relinquished his parental rights.
Russell was arrested in December 2024 on charges of Felony Third Degree Sexual Assault on a Juvenile, Felony Intentional Child Abuse, Disturbing the Peace (Misdemeanor), and Negligent Child Abuse (Misdemeanor).The misdemeanor charges were dismissed.
