Following the holiday break, both Bridgeport wrestling teams returned to tournament action for the first time in 2026 last week.
The Bulldog boys earned a third-place finish at the Garden County Invitational held Saturday in Oshkosh. Bridgeport piled up a team score of 134.5 points. Sedgwick County/Fleming won the title with 179.5 and Wray finished second with 153.5.
James Jeffords led the Bulldogs with a first-place finish at 150 pounds. He recorded three pins on his way to the top of the medal stand. Jeffords is now 17-5 on the season.
