The Bridgeport wrestling teams continued to excel on the mat against strong fields in tournaments last weekend.
Competing at the Chase County Invitational in Imperial, the Bulldog boys earned a fifth-place finish with a score of 135.5. McCook won the title with 182.5.
James Jeffords paced the Bulldogs by securing a second straight top finish in his weight class of 150 pounds. Jeffords recorded three pins on his way to winning the title. He is now 22-5 on the season.
