For the third straight year, the Bridgeport boys basketball team reigned supreme over the South Platte Valley Association Tournament after registering a 66-56 win over Kimball in the title game on Saturday night at North Platte Community College.
It marked the Bulldogs’ fifth SPVA tourney title overall since joining the conference. They were playing in their fifth straight final.
Bridgeport, the second seed, opened the tournament with a 61-28 thumping of Perkins County in the quarterfinals.The Bulldogs followed that up with a 56-41 demolition ofValentine in the semifinals to advance to the championship round.
