Trail City is once again Title City after the Bridgeport High School girls and boys basketball teams swept the championships of the Western Trails Conference Tournament on Saturday at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff.
Both squads clobbered Kimball in the title games to leave no doubt who reigned supreme.
For the Bridgeport girls, the 57-23 victory over the Longhorns capped a historic 6-peat as WTC tournament champions. Dave Kuhlen’s Bulldogs became the first girls team to win six in a row.They now own eight WTC tournament titles, which is only second to Mitchell’s 13.
