City Council approves sale of Skyview at Bridgeport

The Bridgeport City Council convened for its regular meeting on February 12, 2026, at the Prairie Winds Community Center, addressing a packed agenda that included ordinance approvals, property sales, and community event planning.

Visitors were recognized, with Billy Mitchell representing the Morrill County Visitors Committee announcing the first release of grant funds to promote tourism. Mitchell highlighted a tight March 16 deadline for applications, emphasizing opportunities for communities like Bridgeport to fund visitor-attracting programs, particularly in time for Camp Clark Days budgeting.

The consent agenda passed unanimously, approving minutes from the January 8 regular meeting and work session, the monthly treasurer’s report, and appointments to the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department. New probationary member Cole Schaffer was welcomed, while Tim Kampsnider and Coote Mulloy advanced to active status. Mayor noted the positive impact of the new members’ activity.
