Hayes Watts sank a new school record of nine 3-pointers in the Bridgeport boys basketball team’s 72-36 win over Hitchcock County in the Bulldogs’ regular-season finale on Friday evening in Grant.
Watts, who led the Bulldogs in scoring with 31 points, broke the previous record of eight treys made in a game that was shared by Bayler Sterkel, Quentin Baxter and Kolby Lussetto.
The win was Bridgeport’s 13th in a row and improved the Bulldogs to 21-4 on the season.
