Lent: Christ within you
During the season of Great and Holy Lent, we strive to focus on prayer, fasting, almsgiving, forgiveness, confession, and repentance.We focus on becoming an “icon,” an image, a reflection of Christ. Not only that, in imitating Christ, we try to see the image of Christ in EVERY human person, realizing that they too carry the divine image as much as we do.
If we approach this season of Lent with honesty and humility, the ways in which we have fallen short of our calling to be icons of Christ will become apparent to us.
