The Bridgeport boys golf team opened the season with a pair of second-place finishes last week.
Todd Janicek’s crew carded a 391 to place runner-up behind Hemingford at the Western Trails Conference Tournament held last Tuesday at Mitchell’s Scenic Knolls Golf Course. Hemingford won with a 346.
A pair of Bulldogs medaled individually in the top 10. Hayes Watts placed second and Kaden Shultz finished right behind in third. Both shot rounds of 83. Also finishing for Bridgeport were Raul Aguilar in 21st with a 111, Jayden Harris-Miller in 22nd with a 114 and Ethan Keszler in 27th with a 129.
