A familiar face will be leading the Bridgeport High School girls basketball team next season.
After Dave Kuhlen recently announced he would be stepping down as head coach, his former assistant Amber Dean will take charge of the program. She served as the Bulldogs’ assistant coach for three seasons from 2021-2024.
“I’m really excited,” Dean said about being named head coach. “I’ve been around this group of girls and I feel like I have a really good relationship with them all. They’re all such hard-working and coachable girls. Combined with some very good players moving up from junior high, I’m super excited to see what we can do.”
