HayesWatts is representing the Bridgeport boys golf team at the Class C state tournament this week in Grand Island after he qualified with a top-10 finish at the C-5 district held last Wednesday in Ogallala.
Watts shot a 79 to place sixth in the individual standings. The finish qualified him to compete at the state competition at Grand Island’s Indianhead Golf Club.The two-day, 36-hole event concludes today.
As a team the Bulldogs carded a 349 at districts and placed fifth. Ogallala won with a 330, Cozad was second with a 333 and Gothenburg finished third with a 334.The top three teams qualified for state.
