Bomber seniors fall to Chadron

The Bridgeport senior legion baseball team dropped a 5-1 decision to visiting Chadron on Sunday afternoon.

Hits were at a premium for the Bombers, who finished the game with just one, which came off the bat of Andrew Compton. It scored Tray Wright to give the Bombers a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Wright had walked and stole a pair of bases to get himself in scoring position.

Chadron finally broke through against Bomber starting pitcher Kaden Shultz in the top of the fourth and never trailed the rest of the way. Weather actually forced the action to conclude early, but the game was ruled official by the umpires.
