Bridgeport Board of Education approves teacher contract , staff wage increase at June meeting

The Bridgeport Board of Education convened its regular meeting on June 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library, with all members present except Justin Corman.

In action items, the board voted unanimously to approve a teaching contract for Christine Mulloy for the 20262027 school year. Members also approved a 3.5% wage increase for classified staff for the upcoming year, along with training requirements for 2026-2027.The board scheduled a retreat for June 25 and tabled consideration of a resolution on capacity at each grade level for the 2026-2027 school year.

Colton Carrier, president of the Student Council, proposed implementing a 5.0 grade point scale for the high school.The board indicated it would consider the proposal.
