The Bridgeport Beez Swim Team gave an impressive performance at the Torrington 26 swim meet on Saturday at the Torrington pool, with multiple swimmers earning podium finishes and posting significant time improvements across age groups.
Kenadi Deines (10) was one of the meet’s brightest stars.The 9-10 age-group swimmer captured first place in both the 25-yard backstroke (21.48) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:26.95), while also taking second in the 25-yard fly (21.04) and third in the 50-yard freestyle (37.60). She posted massive improvements in three of her four events, including drops of nearly 30 seconds in the 25 fly and 100 free.
Ryan Noonan (9) matched that success in the boys’ 9-10 division. He won the 50-yard freestyle (37.44, -8.89) and 100-yard freestyle (1:32.31, -8.89), while finishing second in the 25-yard fly and 25-yard breaststroke. His strong showing helped anchor the younger boys’ contingent.
