9-year-old Ryan Noonan sets new meet record
The Bridgeport Bees Swim Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Alliance Meet on June 27, 2026, with 23 athletes competing across multiple age groups and securing numerous personal bests, top placements, and one new meet record.The highlight of the day came from the Noonan family, as 9-year-old Ryan Noonan shattered the Alliance Meet record in the boys 9-10 200 freestyle.
Ryan improved dramatically from his seed time of 4:21.54 to finish in 4:08.75, breaking the previous meet record of 4:14.40 set by his older brother, 12-year-old Evan Noonan.The younger Noonan also earned strong placements in the 50 free (2nd) and 25 fly (2nd, personal best). His brother Evan had his own impressive day in the 11-12 boys division, winning the 200 freestyle in 3:30.44 (personal best) and the 400 freestyle in 7:35.72 (personal best), while also placing high in the 50 fly and 50 breast.
