With the turn of the calendar to August and football practice beginning, baseball officially wrapped up with the announcement of their All-Conference teams. Bridgeport plays in the Panhandle Conference for both junior and senior American Legion, alongside Westco, Gering, Chadron, Sheridan County and Alliance.
Benjamin Simmons was selected All-Conference at the junior level. Offensively, Simmons led the Bombers in hits, runs scored, and tied for the team lead in runs batted in, while finishing second on the team in stolen bases. In the field, Simmons spent most of his time manning second base while also pitching and playing catcher as needed. He led the team in total chances, fielding assists, and fielding percentage.
