The fall sports season is officially underway for Bridgeport High School athletes.The girls golf, cross country, volleyball and football teams are all in action this week.
Todd Janicek’s Bulldog golfers teed off on Tuesday at the Sidney Invitational.They will be back in action on Friday at the Bayard Invite.Three varsity letter winners return in senior Olivia Corman, sophomore Jane Plummer and sophomore McKenzie Collins. Janicek said all three received valuable experience last season. Bridgeport will also be bolstered by junior Alyvia Harless, who is a transfer from Colorado. Newcomers to the squad include sophomore Joselyn Perez and freshman Braylen Schmidt.
Pat Goltl’s Bulldog cross country runners will begin their season today at the Panhandle Classic in Scottsbluff.
