Leyton opened the home slate Friday with a statement win, rolling past the Crawford Rams 64-18. By the end of the third quarter the Warriors had built a 58-4 lead. Crawford chipped away after that, but the hole was too deep for them to climb out.
The defense never let Crawford’s quarterback settle in, intercepting three passes. Lucas Eddy, Calvin Borgmann, and Austin Beutler each came away with one.
The win put Leyton at 1-0 and extended their home winning streak to five games, dating back to last season. Crawford dropped to 0-1.
