Downtown Sutherland comes alive Sept. 26 for Makers Market Craft and Vendor Fair

Mark your calendars: downtown Sutherland turns into a shopper’s paradise on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as the 6th Annual Makers Market Craft andVendor Fair fillsWalnut Street, with a bump-out closure on Second Street in front of the MaxineWhite Library for a food court and KidZone.

Shoppers can browse nearly 70 vendors featuring handmade goods, boutique finds, specialty foods, and more—including several hands-on, make-ityourself booths, like a custom trucker hat bar from Patina Peony Co., build-your-own stuffed animals from Anchor Bears, and on-the-spot custom T-shirts and embroidered hats fromTimeless Design, ready to wear the same day. Kids can burn off energy in the KidZone, hosted by the Sutherland Scarlets dance team, with an inflatable bounce house, slide, and other activities, while everyone refuels at the food court.

“Every year this event just keeps growing, and it’s exciting to see downtown Sutherland packed with shoppers and vendors from all over the region,” said Muriel Clark, event organizer.
