Simmons is new volleyball coach
Simmons is new volleyball coach
Grace (Kraay) Simmons is Bridgeport’s new volleyball coach. Simmons played volleyball for the University of Rochester in New York from 2001-2005. She was the team’s libero and defensive specialist, and currently holds the second highest record for digs per set and third highest digs per season in the university’s history. Prior to that, Simmons was the setter for the Bridgeport Bulldogs. After college, she found a passion for sand volleyball, where her team won Houston’sThird Coast co-ed volleyball league. 01/11/2024 03:00 AM

Lady Bulldogs top Chase County to remain undefeated
The Bridgeport High School basketball teams split a pair of games against Chase County last Thursday in Imperial to conclude their pre-holiday schedule. Olivia Loomis-Goltl scored 24 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 53-25 win, while the Longhorns held the Bridgeport boys to just 40 points in a 47-40 setback. 12/27/2023 10:00 PM
