Leyton teams played Hyannis and Creek Valley in basketball action last weekend with mixed results for the boys. The Bridgeport girls and boys basketball teams wrapped up another busy week with a sweep of Morrill County rival Bayard on Saturday at Bridgeport High School. Bridgeport, which has dominated the Tigers on the hardwood in recent years, picked up double-digit wins in both contests. Bridgeport comes together to house bus load of stranded university students

What was supposed to be an organized potluck and overnight homestay turned into a two-night, three-day endeavor for those involved with the Doane University Choir tour.The university students were to be housed with several area families after their concert in Bridgeport Tuesday night, January 17, and returned to the school by 7:30 Wednesday morning.
