Local man receives Quilt of Valor in ceremony

Bridgeport man Lyle Heine was awarded a Quilt of Valor last week in a ceremony at his home near Northport.The quilt was designed, pieced together, and bound by Margaret Lienemann of Alliance and was quilted by Chris Wolf of Scottsbluff. As of April 30, 2023, there have been 345,465 quilts presented to veterans across the country. 05/25/2023 03:00 AM

Ronald J. Myers of Bridgeport, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2023, at the age of 81. A Celebration of his life was held Monday, May 22, with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Military honors were provided by the Nebraska Army National Guard and Sons of the American Legion Post, Bridgeport. His ashes were buried in the Mitchell Cemetery in Mitchell, NE.
