County holds budget workshop

Walk to the Rock, a set of four intersecting trails at the base of Chimney Rock, opened to the public on Saturday, July 29, in 90-degree heat with cookies shaped like Chimney Rock from the Gering Bakery available for the first 200 visitors.

Fixing our broken passport system
Providing oversight of the federal government is a critical part of my job as a United States Senator. From pushing back on illegal new mandates to fighting wasteful spending, there is a lot of important work to do. Graveside service for Parker July 29
Dave Merrill Parker, son of Clyde and LaVonne Parker, passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 70 after a battle with emphysema.There will be a graveside service in the Dalton Cemetery on Saturday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m., and all are welcome.

Bombers’ season comes to an end
The Bridgeport Bombers senior legion baseball team had its season come to an end during the Class C, Area 7 Tournament last weekend in Valentine. In the opening round of the double- elimination tournament on Friday, the Bombers gave second- seeded Imperial all it could handle before falling 3-0.
