Bridgeport graduates 43 Saturday at commencement
The 43 seniors in the Bulldog class of 2019 walked across the stage in the gymnasium with wide grins Saturday, knowing that they were officially reaching the end of the first chapter of their lives and turning the pages to the next.
The gym was almost full with family and friends that came to bear witness to the monumental moment in the graduates lives. Valedictorian Jocelyn Pohl welcomed the graduates and the crowd, and thanked all the people that helped make commencement a success. Supt. Lambert also spoke, pointing out a few of the things that made this class outstanding, including all the honors and awards the students had received as well as their athletic accomplishments.
The class of 2019 graduated seven valedictorians, Pohl, Nicole Schmunk, Molly Lambert, Trevor Krason, Tiana Rice, Nathanial Cooper and Elijah Smith. Each of the valedictorians took a few minutes during the ceremony to share a piece of advice with their fellow classmates.
