Campers gather to donate work of art
The Bridgeport Public Library’s Maker Camp participants, Kindergarten through sixth graders, celebrated National Craft Month with two eclectic wall hangings for the enjoyment of the residents at Skyview Nursing Home in Bridgeport.
The children each designed and colored a cloth square, working within their space allotment to craft a special quilt block for the elderly, which was then pieced together with colored floss by Charlene Howitt, mother of Head Librarian Tammy Covalt, and backed with festive material onto individual displays.
