Chadron State rodeo is this weekend

The Chadron State College rodeo this weekend will be the first sports event involving CSC students since early March when games, meets and even rodeos came to an abrupt halt because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The rodeo will have exactly 500 entries from a dozen schools, CSC Coach Dustin Luper said, and will open the season in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.

The action will be at the Dawes County Fairgrounds on North Main Street in Chadron with performances at 7 o’clock Friday and Saturday nights along with “slack” starting at 1 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday since there are too many entries for just the nighttime shows.
