Local students participate in 48th High Plains Honor Festival
Bridgeport, Leyton and Bayard schools all had the privilege of sending students to the High Plains Band and Choir Honor Festival on February 3rd and 4th in Chadron at the State College for a two-day educational experience that was both fun and challenging. These high school students were chosen out of over a hundred auditions from high schools across three states.
During these two days, they were able to further their musical capabilities and learn interesting new tunes in a classical setting, making music with other students, while their directors were attending reading sessions and clinics focusing on teaching. The Bridgeport students admitted that “the music was challenging and some of the hardest music we’ve played” but had a great time.
